Thank you for your continued support towards our service. We regret to inform you that we recently experienced a disruption in our staking service. This notice provides a detailed explanation of the issue, its impact and the steps we are taking to resolve it. We aim to transparently communicate the issues you may have encountered and clearly explain the progress of our recovery as well as our compensation efforts.
Disruption Period
The service disruption had posed an impact to staking activities that were performed from June 19, 2024, at 10:24:33 PM (UTC) until the contract was recovered on July 2, 2024, at 5:38:47 AM (UTC). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused during this period.
Cause and Response
The recent disruption had been caused from a failure to timely reflect changes in the third-party service being used. As soon as we had identified the issue, we promptly updated the staking contract, completing the update on July 2, 2024, at 5:38:47 AM (UTC). Again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this error may have caused while using our staking service.
Customer Impact
During the disruption period, customers who performed staking received more sISK that they were entitled to, leading to lesser rewards for the existing stakers. Additionally, the users who had performed unstaking during the said period received fewer ISK rewards than they were entitled to.
Compensation Plan
To address this, we have developed a compensation plan for affected customers as follows:
- We decided to add 1464.1 ISK additionally ISK Staking Reward Treasury to rectify the disparity.
- Customers who performed unstaking during the disruption period will be compensated with an additional 10% on top of the lost amount.
- A separate email will be sent to affected customers detailing the compensation amount and the payment completion timeline.
